The solidarity process
When an FJH member dies, we verify the case, open a campaign and calculate an equal contribution for every member in good standing.
Step by step
A family representative or next of kin contacts FJH privately after the death is officially confirmed.
FJH confirms the person’s identity, registration, completed qualifying period and good-standing status.
FJH confirms the approved amount before opening the campaign.
The campaign target is divided equally among members in good standing.
Members receive the verified request, their equal share and the payment deadline through official FJH channels. A campaign, including any extension, remains open for no longer than two weeks.
FJH transfers the approved support to the family or next of kin. If a shortfall remains, available reserve funds may be used under the approved rules while unpaid member contributions are recovered as debts owed to the association.
The power of numbers
The campaign target is divided equally among members in good standing. The more members we have, the less each person contributes.
What makes the model work
The calculation is simple. Making it work requires commitment from all of us.
Every new member helps reduce the contribution for everyone.
Members in good standing contribute to every verified campaign. That is the commitment we make to one another.
Verification, official communication and agreed rules keep every campaign organised.
FJH leaders apply the rules, protect fairness and keep the process accountable.
The family decides
The family or next of kin chooses the funeral arrangements that best reflect their wishes and circumstances.
Bring their loved one back to Cameroon.
Arrange a burial in the Netherlands.
Arrange a cremation in the Netherlands.
Choose another arrangement that meets the family’s wishes.
