Final Journey Home was created by people connected to Cameroon who live in the Netherlands. We organise support before a family faces loss.
Why FJH began
We knew our community could do better.

When a family loses someone, grief is quickly followed by urgent questions. Who will organise support? How much money is needed? How will the community respond? Too often, families feel forced to ask publicly for help while they are still processing the loss.
The idea was shaped by a group of Cameroonians in Amsterdam and Almere. Among the early contributors were Sister Rose Tabang, Prince Lafu Collins, Sister Grace Bao and Ivo Elumbat, together with others who shared the same resolve. Our community already had the people, skills and goodwill. FJH provided the organisation and leadership needed to turn that goodwill into dependable support.

Proof that the model works
Two campaigns. €6,000 for each family.
In September 2025, FJH members came together following the death of our member, the late Sister Susan Nubuyin Mbungo. In February 2026, members responded again following the death of the late Sister Pamela Oben. Each family or designated next of kin received €6,000. Both verified campaigns were completed successfully, showing that organised solidarity can deliver real support when it matters.
